If you are going to the trouble of making Christmas cookies, why not make the best Christmas cookies anyone ever tasted?
Since Andrew is one of the great Cookie Bakers of all time, it wasn’t easy to come up with this list. So we went to the numbers and let our readers guide the way. Here are our top-rated cookies of all time
My British cousin Lady Martha is included because the cookies from her native Austria have consistently pulled in visitors since they first appeared on these pages in 2011. Next up, last year’s Dorie Greenspan’s Jammers offering practically froze ChewingTheFat with the number of hits it received. Joanne Chang’s Homemade Oreo Cookies were such a huge hit, that I can’t help but think kids aren’t the only ones who love their Oreos. A Gluten-Free Macaroon managed a particularly impressive feat: it was first published around Easter time and ended up on our Most Popular list the following December. And apparently, the world loves a great Peanut Butter cookie any time of the year…especially if you add chocolate chips to it. The Plus One? It just had to be the Brown Butter and Toffee Chocolate Cookies that made their appearance here just this Fall but ended up so popular, they’re now being made on a Celebrity Cruise Ship.
Every one of these cookies is the real deal and worth every minute they take to make. And if for some reason, none of these appeal to you, by all means, go to the Search function and you’ll find literally dozens of cookie recipes to make your holiday a very Cookie Christmas. Enjoy!
