A Bit about St. Pierre

“Bringing the joy of French bakery to brioche lovers around the world” is St. Pierre’s mission. And just in case you’re not entirely familiar with brioche, here’s how St. Pierre defines it. “Brioche is a French sweet bread. It’s made with an enriched dough, giving it that golden color, rich taste, and light sweetness.” We’ve been seeing St. Pierre in our supermarket for well over a year and we’ll share another recipe for them right after this one. But first, if you need it, here’s St. Pierre’s store-finder. https://stpierrebakery.com/where-to-buy/
A Little Sticky Bun History – and a Twist
Did you know sticky buns are actually of German origin? Sticky buns have been eaten since the Middle Ages when cinnamon became readily available in Germany. They were known as “Schnecken” and it was the Pennsylvania Dutch who introduced them to North America. Here in the States, we’ve made them a beloved bakery staple. Now St Pierre is giving them a Parisian upgrade with brioche, which is rich in eggs and butter, making it the perfect canvas to soak up all that sweet maple caramel sauce.
The Perfect Fall Recipe: Maple Pecan Sticky Buns
This recipe is designed to make your kitchen smell like heaven while giving you a sticky bun that’s anything but basic. With St Pierre’s soft, fluffy brioche rolls drenched in maple caramel and topped with cinnamon-dusted pecans, you’ll be diving into bliss in no time.

MAPLE PECAN STICKY BUNS USING ST. PIERRE BRIOCHE SLIDES
These buns are like fall in a bite: warm, gooey, and loaded with maple and pecan goodness. Whether you’re hosting or just indulging solo, this St Pierre recipe is the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Ingredients
- For the Buns:
- 1 pack St Pierre Brioche Sliders
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup pecan nuts
- For the Maple Caramel Sauce: 1 stick/4 oz salted butter
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ⅔ cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy cream (or whipping cream) Optional, we didn't serve them with Whipped Cream
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Step 2 Grab an ovenproof dish that can snugly fit the sliders. Grease it up with a bit of butter.
- Step 3 Toss your pecans in cinnamon and spread them evenly at the bottom of the dish.
- Step 4 In a saucepan, mix together the butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and cream. Bring it to a gentle bubble and let it simmer for 5 minutes until it turns into a glossy, sweet sauce.
- Step 5 Pour the sauce over the pecans, then place your slider rolls top-side down onto the sauce.
- Step 6 Let it sit for 5 minutes, cover loosely with foil, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Step 7 Remove the foil, invert the dish onto a large plate, and let the buns release onto the plate, sauce and all.
- Step 8 Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream if you’re feeling fancy.
