As Regular Readers of Chewing The Fat know we just came back from Greece two weeks ago…

It was a spectacular trip start to finish.  Greece and its islands are among the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Sailing from Athens and the moon-lit Acropolis, we traveled on the most beautiful ship imaginable, Silversea’s Silver Moon.  From Skyros, famous for lobsters and tiny beachside villages, to Paros, where we went literally from Farm to Table. On to Patros, home to St. John the Theologian, then to the old town of Rhodes, we were immersed in Greek culture. Our next stop, Cyprus, brought us to an incredibly modern vineyard in a country that has made wine since at least 800 B.C.  On to Crete and our first visit to a leper colony, gratefully closed in 1957.  Finally to Mykonos which lived up to its reputation as a jet-set favorite. Then back to Athens where we carried home memories of this truly wonderful journey.
